Sue's 2010 challenge

1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Lisa P. had recommended this book months ago and I finally tackled it. It was a little hard to get into at first but once it "grabs" you there is no putting it down. The characters are very real and endearing. You believe by the end that the story was based on fact, even though it is fiction and the telling of it leaves you breathless.

2. A Cousin's Prayer by Wanda E. Brunstetter Book 2 of series "Indiana Cousins"

I love books about the Amish culture and lifestyle, this one was good in it explored some areas not usually in this type of book. One of the main characters was experiencing panic attacks and had no idea what was happening to her. The resolution of the problem in the midst of finding her way to a new love keeps the reader interested.

3. I, Alex Cross by James Patterson

This one was much more graphic than what I usually read, it was a page turner but I had to force myself through some of it. I don't remember Patterson being quite so graphic in the past,

maybe I'm just getting old.

4. A Primer on Prostate Cancer: the empowered patients guide by Stephen B. Strum

Good info on the various treatment options available for prostate cancer. As some of you may know my husband was diagnosed in December and will most likely have DaVinci surgery to remove the prostate later this month.

Now reading: Mennonite in a little black dress by Rhoda Janzen, The Eleventh Victim by Nancy Grace and Going Rogue by Sarah Palin
