1. I had a good Christmas and New Years. I'm glad it's all over in one way to get back to some sense of normalcy, but I do miss the Christmas music...
2. Long-time PVL patron Ralph McNeal came to GRE yesterday to tell me that his book, Sleeper Cell, finally got published and that we have it in our library district! It was good to see him and I was excited that it is in print. Back in ye olden days, he brought PVL circ rough copies to read over and review. He says he's already working on a sequel.
3. I won the Unshelved Answers Question of the Week contest last week. My question was about self check-out and incentives. I ended up getting the Guess What I'm Reading bumper sticker and Reader's Advisory, as we don't have it in the district yet.
4. W2s! I was happy to get mine yesterday. Early bird catches the worm. Thanks, Lynn!
5. The 50 book challenge for 2010 program. Glad to see so many of you liked the idea for it. I can't wait to read what you all are reading.
50 for 2010
I had a bit of a rough start to my reading this year. I went home on New Years Eve eve without a book and so I finished my last of 2009 (The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein - very good, btw) with nothing else to read. Nevertheless...
1. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney
Currently Reading: Going Rogue by Sarah Palin and Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson
Have a great weekend!
