Five Favorite Friday Moments

1. Making friends in my online San Jose State library school class and learning how to post my own blog there. I can't believe that my school work involves social networking. Not only is it fun, but it applies to real life things like this!

2. Lunch with Mom. A usual Friday tradition--this one ended up with delicious soy Chai Ice Storms.

3. Bacon chocolate bar. You did not read that incorrectly. I discovered it at a place called "Vosges Haut Chocolate" at Caesars Palace and it has the perfect combination of sweet and bitter (from dark chocolate) and salty (from actual bacon). I swear I'm usually a health nut. But...I'm also a foodie. =)

4. Yesterday's Japanese Tea program! I'm still on a high from just how much fun it was and how successful everything turned out for the kids who got to learn a little Japanese, eat tea and authentic snacks, and then paint their own kanji symbols. I'll be putting a blog up about it for the public on our Green Valley blog once I get back in the office and can turn in parental permission slips.

5. Until the permission slips are in, here's one thing I can share. One word: kimono.
