Fave Fives a Day Late, But Oh Well, I Don't Think You'll Mind Much
1. This week had enough good stuff in it that I might have to creatively combine, or post twice. And the fact that this week had all this good stuff is, in and of itself, a favorite.
2. Mae. Mae Mae Mae. Sushi with Mae and Joy and Arlene and Sody. Lunch with Mae and Matt (who is about to leave for grad school). Baby shower with Mae. Trivia with Mae and Joe and a whole bunch of other loud smarty people. A week with Mae events is a good week.
3. Sody. Sody Sody Sody. Sushi with Sody and Mae and Joy and Arlene. Baby shower with Sody. Lunch with Sody and Arlene at Whole Foods (yummy not-at-all-healthy sandwich), pool and massage and pedicure with Sody. I suspect that Sody and Bryan will be official parents by the time I get back from Alaska, so it was good to have last minute Before The Drama Starts time with her.
4. Eliza. Eliza Eliza Eliza. Planning and shopping and conspirator-ing with Eliza to make the aforementioned Baby Shower a smashing success. (And thanks also to Trudy for coordinating the food.) The Baby Shower was super fun. And also very pink. It's good to have a partner in crime.
5. Coolness. Coolness Coolness Coolness. As in, this morning, around 6:15 am when it was 79 degrees with a very soothing breeze, and me shivering a bit because it was actually cool out. Seeing all the dogs and bikers and runners on the Pittman Wash path. Perhaps the heat of the summer is starting to wane. Give yourself a pat on the backs, folks. We may have survived another one.
