- "Today is the best time of my life and tomorrow will slide into a category when it gets there." I love this quote. One of my friends in Reno posted this so I'm not sure of the source.
- This is the content of a thank you note I received this week from a student at Robert Taylor ES: "Dear Miss Jennifer, Thank you for reading to us. I really enjoyed the stories. I might want to go to the library now. Your listener, Uriel." Isn't this great? See volunteering during Nevada Reading Week does work-we might have gained a new patron!
- My husband and I found this great new small restaurant called Elements Kitchen and Martini Bar. The food, the staff, and atmosphere was excellent! This would be a great place to go for a date night. April is "Couple's Month."
- The "Meet and Greet" this morning was a lot of fun. Those that organized this event did a wonderful job and the BINGO game was a great icebreaker. The new Green Valley Library looks awesome and you guys are lucky to have Mika on your staff- she rocks! The shelving and displays looked great, it definitely has a cool bookstore feel to it. Looking forward to the new Gibson!
- and last, but not least, the patron that walked over to Elizabeth and myself at the reference desk and asked "Can I borrow a brain?" We of course said yes, but it was tempting to say "no, we don't lend out brains, but you can borrow books." (hee hee)

The first day I met Mika, she had an Unshelved "Pimp My Bookcart" shirt on... knew she'd be a great shelver. :D
