2. This is the content of a thank you note I received this week from a student at Robert Taylor ES: "Dear Miss Jennifer, Thank you for reading to us. I really enjoyed the stories. I might want to go to the library now. Your listener, Uriel." Isn't this great? See volunteering during Nevada Reading Week does work-we might have gained a new patron!
3. My husband and I found this great new small restaurant called Elements Kitchen and Martini Bar. The food, the staff, and atmosphere was excellent! This would be a great place to go for a date night. April is "Couple's Month."
4. The "Meet and Greet" this morning was a lot of fun. Those that organized this event did a wonderful job and the BINGO game was a great icebreaker. The new Green Valley Library looks awesome and you guys are lucky to have Mika on your staff- she rocks! The shelving and displays looked great, it definitely has a cool bookstore feel to it. Looking forward to the new Gibson!
5. and last, but not least, the patron that walked over to Elizabeth and myself at the reference desk and asked "Can I borrow a brain?" We of course said yes, but it was tempting to say "no, we don't lend out brains, but you can borrow books." (hee hee)
