Arms Falling Off, Soul Happy - Fave Five Friday, One Day Late
1. Yesterday I saw Alice in Wonderful with a great big group of my favorite people. We were all especially enthralled with with the mannerisms of the White Queen, which we all solemnly vowed to imitate on Monday. Should be interesting for our patrons.
2. Oh, the movie was actually excellent. I plan to go get a copy of Alice and re-read it this afternoon. Perhaps this will help with my 50 books this year. Nothing like re-reading books you read as a kid, to see a whole new perspective. (Perhaps better, perhaps worse...I suspect this one will be better.)
3. I want to Fudderwacken vigorously, too, at the earliest possible moment.
4. Oh, so why the arms falling off. I went to a lift class at the gym. Lifting weights is something I hate hate hate, but going to a class helps. Then I went swimming and was exhausted. Thus the arms falling off. (But my shoulders are shaping up nicely.)
5. I really am still participating in the 50 books...I'm just stalled on a really long historical fiction, To the Last Man, by Jeff Shaara. Very good - about WWI and the first use of aeroplanes when they were still out in the open, and going 15,000 feet up was a big deal, and their feet got cold. (Didn't they also get hypoxic?) But I've now got a dark memoir to read which will probably go pretty quickly, and then the aforementioned Alice, and maybe I'll have some titles to add soon.
Happy weekend! Don't forget your clocks tomorrow!
