Fave Fiveorites
Hahaha
Okay.
1. My house is beginning to look and feel like a house. For as long as I have been alive, I have been longing to make a house pleasant, so this is pretty awesome. I heard a story on the radio last night about a couple who had to tear down their house to rebuild a new one all by themselves because the original was so dilapidated that it was condemned. I am grateful that mine is lovely and not hazardous.
2. I survived woodworking class, and I have a cutting board, a bread knife, a clip board, and an almost-box to show for it. The almost box will become a full-fledged box soon, and I might make a table in April. Someday, I might even be good at this stuff.
3. I started the Great Stories Club this week at HopeLink, and the kids who came were very respectful, and they seemed to enjoy the beginning of our book selection. One boy read aloud for us, and he struggled, but he seemed genuinely interested in the story. It was cool.
4. I'm reading Life as We Knew It for my book club and it's freaking me out. Please tell me that an asteroid is incapable of knocking the moon out of its orbit, and then recommend a cheerful book for me to read.
5. I agree with Elizabeth that it's cool to tell you these things, even though I would probably be too shy to do so in real life.
