Autumn Entry

I had such a difficult time choosing just one thing I love about autumn. There is just so much I love about autumn. So I made a list. :D

1. Cooler weather in the Vegas valley. That is always a plus!
2. When I get a chance to get away, seeing the changing colors of the leaves.
3. Having several holidays with no work so I can spend it with the family.
4. Halloween!!!
5. Pumpkin Pie (also pumpkin flavored ice cream... yummy!)
6. Everything about Thanksgiving (Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, Turkey Dinner, etc.)
7. My awesomely good Halloween brownies!!

Now choosing one thing in particular I thought would be easy! I was going to put up a picture and a recipe for my awesomely good Halloween brownies, but sadly, I have misplaced the recipe. :( When I find it, I will post it because it is just too good to keep to myself.

So the next best thing I could think of would be Halloween Costumes of the past, some of my favorite ones. I could only find four Halloween photos and I had a really difficult time choosing my favorite one out of the four! I was able to narrow it down to two.

This one is of me in the 4th grade. I wanted to be a 50's girl that year, so my mom made the poodle skirt. Everything else was something I had in my wardrobe already. I even had the black and white shoes famous in the fifties that had been made popular again that year. This is one of my favorite costumes!

This one is of me in the 9th grade. Yes, I was 14 and a little old to go trick or treating, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to go one last time. I decided to dress up as a little girl with a boo-boo that year. I threw on pj's, put my hair in pig-tails, and carried around a teddy bear. I really did have a boo-boo. If you look, two of my fingers have tape wrapped around them. I jammed my finger really badly in PE playing basketball the day before.
