"We would visit my grandparents in Reno for most of our holiday. One 4th when I was about four or five years old I was in the restroom and I heard someone shout "Fire!". Well, it scared me so much I ran outside and thought the house was on fire. They were shouting "fireworks". Needless to say we were all safe.

They also had a wonderful parade in Reno for the 4th. My mother would get tears in her eyes when the marching band came along."
