1. Icing from Trudy's fabulous cake, which is in my fridge, waiting to be eaten before I take the cake to Paseo tomorrow.
2. Very satisfying BINGO game this morning - thanks to Vivian for her fabulous idea. It was great to overhear the conversations..."Carolyn can water-ski! Juan was born in Mexico! Vivian has a guinea pig! Justin is left-handed!" Wonderful random trivial facts from new staff and old which bonded everybody a little, I think.
3. Our fabulous volunteers Kathy Hug, who is the heart and soul of Library Tree Lane, who plans everything to the last detail, who is the queen of diplomacy, and who has a wicked sense of humor.
4. So we had a big bottle of white wine left over from the Volunteer Reception. We lost the cork, so we couldn't just put it in the fridge. We were all just kind of looking at it, when Gayle (the highest ranking person in the room), grabbed a paper cup and started to pour...several of us took the lead from her executive decision.
5. Staffing a table with Battle Fearn tomorrow morning for the Nevada Childseekers 5K. Early in the morning, but I love stuff like that, so should be a blast. (Therese is running too! Run T run - run like the wind!)
